Liberty Reserve Outage Update

Hello Everybody:

The payment processor Liberty Reserve has been down, out of service or unavailable since before the weekend in the Liberty Reserve team has replied about the issue a few times on the Liberty Reserve blog.  I realize that this is a major inconvenience for most everybody that relies on Liberty Reserve to make their payments to HYIP programs and to withdraw their income that they receive from their portfolio of HYIP sites.

I do believe that the Liberty Reserve team will have their website up and running as soon as possible and that they have probably been working around-the-clock to resolve whatever issue seems to be causing the problem.  I DO NOT believe that Liberty Reserve will scam or close the website leaving the customers at a loss as I believe that they make too much money in business to be out of business.  The best thing to do, is just wait until their programmers get it resolved and to check the website only periodically or every few hours, so as not to overwhelm their site.  In the beginning hour or 2 of their website becoming available again, I believe there will be times of and accessibility on and off until the website becomes stable again as there will be many of us accessing our accounts to make sure everything is okay.

There are many rumors going around and I believe it is best to ignore these rumors as a lot of these people that start these want to cause widespread panic and/or do damage to Liberty Reserve and their business.

I do sympathize with all of you as I know that most of us have money invested and a loss at this time will certainly be detrimental to all of us and our pocketbooks.  I do believe that they will be back online and that the funds will be in the accounts and available to the users but the thing that I am worried about more is the effect that it will have on the HYIP programs.  I am sure that there will be some programs that will be unable to survive this period of downtime especially due to the lack of income coming in and the payments that will undoubtedly be requested.  Most likely, there will be 5 days of interest payments coming to each customer and it will depend on if the individual HYIP site has the funds to pay all these payments and continue.  I am worried that some will just close down and run.  Only the best and the healthiest of the programs will survive in my opinion.  I think that it would be best to delay any deposits for about 3 days after Liberty Reserve resumes until we can all assess with the delayed effects of this outage will be.  After that, we will know the ones that have resumed payments and the ones that intend on sticking around and staying in business.  I am keeping my fingers crossed that they will be up and running very soon.  Thanks for reading!

I have put the notice below that is on the Liberty Reserve blog regarding the downtime so that you can read it for yourself.
